MegaWatt’s engineering staff boasts technical backgrounds in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Physics, along with two full-time trained laser technicians. Combined, over 50 years of experience designing, building, and manufacturing lasers and laser systems.

Whether designing from scratch or redesigning for an existing system, MegaWatt covers rod/material selection, cavity design, coolant system requirements, housing design, system testing, and full integration.

R & D

MegaWatt Lasers has performed numerous R&D jobs for commercial, military, and medical applications. We work closely with customers on application-specific work including weapons shock, material analysis, and reliability testing.

Our contract engineering services cover full project documentation and reporting for medical, industrial, and military customers — whether small or large scope, we handle what your team may not have the time or expertise for.

Customization

MegaWatt takes on projects that most others won’t. Our in-house production facility and versatile engineering staff allow us to offer quick turnaround on custom laser designs that larger companies can’t or don’t offer.

We can provide portions or all of the laser components of a custom system, including the power supply and chiller — on a breadboard or in an enclosure. What you need is what you’ll get.

On-Site Service & Installation

Our trained laser engineers and technicians provide installation and startup support for a wide range of laser applications. We currently support multiple manufacturing facilities both remotely and on-site.
