1 Micron Lasers
1-micron flashlamp-pumped lasers are widely used in medical, scientific, industrial, and defense applications because they combine efficient solid-state laser operation with the ability to generate high-energy, high-peak-power pulses. Common laser media in this wavelength region include Nd:YAG, Nd:YLF and Nd:Glass. Neodymium lasers offer a variety of different applications such as medical, industrial, research, scientific and LIDAR lasers. Flashlamp systems are of a unique value because they are able to operate with a high pulse energy, repetition rate and peak power.
| Laser | Wavelength (um) |
| Nd:YAG | 1064/1319 nm |
| Nd:YLF | 1047/1053 nm |
| Nd:Cr:GSGG | 1061 nm |
| Nd:Glass | 1053/1064 nm |
